Combining the strengths of Fujitsu Siemens Computers’ powerful DeskView tools for accessing and managing clients with Altiris’ award-winning management console, DeskView provides unprecedented control over the Fujitsu Siemens Computers clients in your environment. Fujitsu Siemens Computers also distributes and sells the entire line of Altiris IT lifecycle management solutions and suites. Based on industry standards, DeskView manages effectively Pocket LOOX handhelds, STYLISTIC tablet PCs, Professional notebooks, FUTRO thin clients, Professional PCs and CELSIUS workstations, as well as SCENICVIEW displays.

IT lifecycle management with DeskView

DeskView is constantly enhanced to ensure that customers always have access to the latest technology. In October 2005, for example, Fujitsu Siemens Computers and Altiris added two new components to DeskView. In addition to the DeskView Admin solution already included with hardware, Fujitsu Siemens Computers has also been offering its customers the DeskView Migrate and DeskView Control modules.

• DeskView Admin allows fast and easy access to system management for client hardware from Fujitsu Siemens Computers by delivering system inventory, BIOS and interface management, device and component monitoring with comprehensive alarm management, and extensive help desk integration.
• DeskView Migrate supplements DeskView Admin with software distribution features that simplify the switch to a newer Microsoft operating system (migrating user-specific settings, for example) while considerably reducing the associated costs.
• DeskView Control offers remote control, multi-vendor hardware and software inventory management, and self-repairing software capabilities. This solution also provides customers with additional software license monitoring and user help desk features.
